Musée des Arts Forains
Musée des Arts Forains is one of those off-the-beaten-path things to do in Paris. I had come across this in my planning online and it took three visits before I could gain access, but I guess third time is a charm.

This privately-owned funfair museum houses a fascinating collection of Venetian carnival rooms, rides and games. Tours are offered to groups and are in French only. Even though I do not speak French, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour which included riding some of the rides and playing some of the games. Like this one:

These waiters with their trays of drink advanced to race across the stage when players rolled balls into the proper holes. I actually won!

I am sure I would have enjoyed it even more had I been able to actually understand what our nice tour guide was saying, but besides the fun games & rides in which to participate, there was plenty of interest to look at…

Lovely, as always. :) I love the sense of warmth and light in this series, too. What an interesting place!
Thank you, too, for your lovely message. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can this week!
Take care –

Looks like a place to visit! At Bercy I believe? Thanks for drawing the attention to it! Really nicely pictured!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I appreciate your visit!
Oui, it is in Bercy. If you click on the name at the beginning of the post, there is a map and more contact information, which Metro, etc. I suppose I should make that kind of link more obvious in the future. My bad!
It really was a neat place to visit.

Great photos! So it takes an Armchair Parisian to teach me things about my own city. :) I think I’ll go there with the French Fries on a rainy day…

You should sell your photographs. That blue one is awesome!
Charming. I’ll have to scope this out on my next trip to Paris. I love the small museums the best.
It goes on the list for next time, definitely. Wherever did you find out about it?
