The One I Left Behind…
05/10/2010

I wonder, if I hadn’t taken a photograph of these, would I still think of them as I do now? Lying there on on that table in the Vanves flea market instead of adorning my dinner parties? I still kick myself for not at least asking how much the were…but I know they were well out of my “fun” range ~ just as I know that I am doomed to look for them every single time I visit the Vanves flea market, knowing I’ll pay nearly anything for them now…they had me at swirl….

I can see why you adore them so! Very handsome silverware set. Are they all there? Must count …
On second thought, I agree with the thought who cares how many – those with true style know how to mix and match! Or turn them into a chandelier ~
: )
These are gorgeous. I can see why they haunt you. I, too, have dithered too long at Vanves only to have my treasure snatched from under my nose, yet ever-present in my heart.
it’s very nice to have a picture momento and much lighter to carry…
So many things I wished I’d bought
Then I get over it or go back.
These spoons are still there.
I know they are!
Wow, those are gorgeous. I would be kicking myself, too, maybe you will cross paths again. :)
Oh, nice, nice! Well…now you know what to aim for when you go back, right? And next time you WILL buy, right?
What beautiful silverware! I love the scrollwork in the handles. Just wonderful. Buuuut… where are the knives?!? Hmmmm. Maybe a story there, eh? Think of it, though — you would have wanted the knives, too. So really, you did not miss much. ;-)
They are really nice, indeed; you would only have to find the knives that go with them!
These have a very Viking vibe, me thinks.
I like, I like, jeg liker…
Wow, I have had that same experience. I love those, and yes if you EVER see them again, just hand over the money!
