Gallery Window Shopping
One of my favorite things to do in Paris is wander the streets, get lost and peek in gallery windows. OK, more to the point, I love to snap pics of what is in the windows before I am spotted by the person in the gallery… Consequently, some of my shots aren’t framed as well as they could be. But I am always fascinated by the very different things I have seen.
Let’s walk through St. Germain. It’s a crisp afternoon and the sun is actually shining in November…

This is what I imagine my cat would look like if she were from outer space…

Need a hand…?

I can’t even begin to figure out the story being told here. But these sculptures were constructed mainly of bone. How fascinating…

Let’s look closer. Is he cuddling a rat…?

Whoops! I’ve been spotted. Quick snap and run!

J’adore that little puddy tat with the green head – he’s just gorgeous!! and what a lovely area to be window shopping in – St Germain it’s one of my favourites and I love the way the parisians
say that name St- Germain- des- pres.

Wandering the Parisian streets with nothing on my agenda is my favorite thing to do in Paris! I get lost in the countless windowshops and cafes.
I’m with Dianne, the cat is so cool! Man, but aren’t those window glares the most annoying thing? Reminds me of trying to sneak pictures in museums.
When you’re back in Paris, let Karin and I know so we can go with you and defend you against those angry Parisian shopkeepers!
Thanks for the great name suggestion on my blog! Too funny. These photos are fantastic! Been a long time since I was in Paris.
I love what you discovered in the windows!
I like the last one, especially. Something about those spiky projections… It’s a fun piece. Paul’s right — we can go with you next time and see if they will let you take some cool photos inside, too! If they know you are a blogger, and reviewing their work (favorably, lol) then they may welcome the free publicity!
Hope you are doing well. :) (And I am so sorry I have not written you a nice message back yet. We’ve been so busy with life, and visitors, and adventures of our own, and ohhhkay, watching “Dexter,” too (lol), that I have not taken the time to write back. But it is not for not caring. I’m hoping that your summer is going swimmingly! :) )
